1.Information About Us

Coalesce Recruitment Limited (“we”, “us”, “our” and “ours”) is a specialist talent partner delivering permanent and contract staffing solutions to the Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics sectors, Registered Office: Regent Court, St Mary’s Street, Penistone S36 6DT. For the purpose of the Data Protection Legislation and this notice, we are the ‘data controller’. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use personal data about you. We are required under the Data Protection Legislation to notify you of the information contained in this privacy notice.

Coalesce Recruitment Limited understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used. We respect and value the privacy of all of our clients and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a way that is consistent with our obligations and your rights under the law.

This Privacy Notice explains how we use your personal data: how it is collected, how it is held, and how it is processed. It also explains your rights under the law relating to your personal data.

Personal data is defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) (the “GDPR”) as ‘any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier’.

Personal data is, in simpler terms, any information about you that enables you to be identified. Personal data covers obvious information such as your name and contact details, but it also covers less obvious information such as account numbers or other online identifiers.

There is an additional category of data defined as Special Categories of Data which is described as “personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health, or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation”.

4.What Personal Data Do We Collect?

We may collect some or all of the following personal data:

Name, Address, Phone Number(s), Email Address, Date of Birth, CV and job history

Information is collected directly from you, via our website, or from Job Boards and Social Media.

5.How Do We Use Your Personal Data?

Under the GDPR, we must always have a lawful basis for using personal data. This may be because the data is necessary for our performance of a contract with you or because you have consented to our use of your personal data.  Your personal data may be used for one of the following purposes:

  • To provide our recruitment services to you and to facilitate the recruitment process;
  • To assess data about you against vacancies which we judge may be suitable for you;
  • To send your information to clients in order to apply for jobs or to assess your eligibility for jobs;
  • To enable you to submit your CV, apply online for jobs or to subscribe to alerts about jobs we think may be of interest to you;
  • To market our full range of recruitment services to you (permanent, contract and temporary);
  • To send you details of reports, promotions, offers, networking and client events and general information about the industry sectors

    Which we think might be of interest to you where you have consented to being contacted for such purposes;

  • To answer your questions and queries; and
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us
  1. How and Where Do We Store or Transfer Your Personal Data?

We may store or transfer some or all of your personal data in countries that are not part of the European Economic Area (the “EEA” consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein). These are known as “third countries” and may not have data protection laws that are as strong as those in the UK and/or the EEA. Where we transfer your data to a third party based in the US, this is protected as they are part of the EU-US Privacy Shield. Access to your data is only given to the staff engaged in recruitment activity, all of whom have signed confidentiality agreements and will not disclose information about you. Computer systems are secured by password access and paper records are stored in locked cabinets.

  1. How Long Will We Keep Your Personal Data?

Your personal data will be kept indefinitely, unless you request us to delete it, to allow us to match you against the requirements for any future positions

  1. Do We Share Your Personal Data?

We will aim not to share any of your personal data with any third parties without your prior consent. In some circumstances, if it is not possible to contact you in advance and in order to not miss a submission deadline for candidates’ details, we will submit your details for a role we are confident will suit you.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights, which we will always work to uphold:

  2. b) The right to request a copy of the personal data held by us. This is known as a “subject access request”.  All subject access requests should be made in writing and sent to the email or postal address shown below.
  3. c)The right to request that we correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date.
  4. d) The right to request that personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for us to retain such information.
  5. e) The right to withdraw consent if you have provided consent to us to retain your personal data.
