I am Steve Lea, Managing Director of Coalesce Recruitment Limited.

I have always been fascinated by engineering, so when I left school, I started my career in the car industry, working for the Rover Group in the Midlands as a Mechanical Engineering apprentice.

Though I loved the role, I soon realised that I had a huge interest in people and could utilise my technical knowledge differently to assist engineering leaders in building teams and their staff to secure their next career move.

That was 30 years when I started my journey, and I have been successfully recruiting into the engineering world throughout the UK ever since.

Over the years, I realised the recruitment landscape has changed, rightfully so, and clients and candidates want an experience where they matter.

They want a value-add interaction with their recruiter, which I have always given. That is when I decided to establish Coalesce Recruitment to deliver a value-add customer experience to my clients and candidates, focusing on my core values of integrity, partnership and quality.
